Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav unveiled Sudarsan Pattnaik’s black Taj Mahal at Agra

cmmulayamAgra: Black Taj, a sand replica, has been made by World Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Saturday at the Taj Nature Walk, which is situated behind the 17th-century marble monument at Agra.

Sudarsan who has made sand replicas of the Taj Mahal in various countries, dedicated his latest manifestation to Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal, in whose memory the Taj Mahal was built.

According to legend, Shah Jahan wanted to build a black Taj opposite the monument at Mehtab Bagh. However, he could not fulfill his dream.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav unveiled Patnaik’s sand replica of the black Taj Mahal at the Taj Nature Walk Saturday.

The 15-feet structure is adorned with the sculptures of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

“It’s my tribute to the two great lovers in history” said Sudarsan. Padma Shri awarde sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha has won many international, national awards in around the World.
