Sandy well wishes to legend Amitabh Bachchan from Odisha

Report by Rashmi r Parida; Bhubaneswar: The 69 year old Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to the hospital from last one week due to acute abdominal pain. He was still under heavy medication and strict hospital supervision. Lots of fan and friends wish Bachchan for his immediate recuperation. One of them is World Champion Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha.

Today he created a 4 ft high and 10 ft long sand sculpture of Mr. Bachchan on movie reel at Golden beach of Puri in Odisha with a message “Get Well Soon” for his speedy recovery. Lots of people gathered on the beach to wish Bachchan.

Pattnaik said Puri is a holy place of Lord Jagannath. I have created his sculpture and pray to the Lord for his recovery. He is also one of my Idol.

He used 10 tons of sand and took six hours to complete this sculpture with his students of his sand art institute. He also used colour sands to create this live image.

Sudarsan has so far participated in more than 48 international sand sculpture championships across the world and won many awards including 2008 world championship title at Berlin for the country. He is also a Brand ambassador of Nalco. Pattnaik also running a sand art school at Puri Beach in Orissa.
