Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik advocates third political front minus NDA, UPA. Speaking to media Naveen said that, 'There is a need for some sort of a Front against the thoroughly corrupt and discredited UPA Government, on one hand, and the communally-tainted NDA, on the other.” Patnaik said, “We need a front which is both transparent and secular.” While criticising the UPA, he also did not spare his two times BJP-led ally NDA by dubbing them “communally tainted”.

It should be noted that in a bid to step up his campaign against the draconian features of the newly created anti-terror agency, the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) under the ministry of home affairs, chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday spoke to his Tamil Nadu counterpart J Jayalalitha on the issue and urged to oppose such a unilateral and authoritarian move of the Centre. He also spoke to West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and Telugu Desham leader Chandrababu Naidu and requested them to oppose such Central move.
