New Intercity Bus Terminal at Miyapur, Logistic Parks at Batasingaram & Mangalapally approved, CM wants ORR works speeded up

Hyderabad: The Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy today wanted all the new projects being taken up by HMDA to be completed right on schedule. The Chief Minister who is also Chairman of HMDA today chaired the 4th meeting of the Authority at Secretariat. Municipal Administration Minister Mr. M Maheedhar Reddy, Mayor, GHMC, Mr. Mohd. Majid Hussain, Principal Secretary, MA&UD, Mr Sam Bob, Commissioner, HMDA, Rajesh Tiwari, MD, APIIC, B R Meena, Principal Secretary, R&B, S P Singh, MD, APSRTC, Prasada Rao, Commissioner, GHMC, M T Krishna Babu, Project Director, Outer Ring Road, Manicka Raj and other officials attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister today approved the Project of new Inter-City Bus Terminal at Miyapur on PPP mode. This is a one lakh sq.ft built up passenger terminal with 200 bus bays and platforms for outstation buses, with bus parking for 1,000 buses, 30 bus bays for city buses including fuel filling stations including CNG, dormitories for drivers, 2,3,4-wheeler parkings, budget hotel, medical and emergency facilities, police outpost facility, restaurants etc.

The meeting approved the logistic park at Batasingaram on Vijayawada highway (NH-9) in 40 acres. This will have the facilities for 500 truck parkings, 2 lakh sq.ft warehousing, 10,000 MTs of cold storage provision, automobile service centres, dormotories, restaurants fuel stations, commercial and office space, electronic weigh bridge and primary health centre etc. The meeting also approved the construction of logistic park at Managalapally on Nagarjunasagar Highway (about just 500 meters from ORR Bonguluru junction) in 22 acres of land. This will also have the facilities like 250 truck parkings, one lakh sq.ft warehousing facilites, cold storage facilities for 5000 MTs, automobile service centres, dormitories, restaurants, fuel stations, commercial and office spaces etc. The Chief Minister directed the officials to further speed the work on the Outer Ring Road and also work at Dindigul-Shamirpet stretch of the project.

The meeting also approved for further extension for suggestions and objections on the Draft Metropolitan Plan-2031 up to 21st February. The Draft Plan would also be translated in Urdu. The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of works on Residential layout at Uppal Bhagath, Comprehensive transportation study for Hyderabad Metropolitan Area, completion Ramps work at on PVNR elevated Exspressway, innter ring road to Mylardevpally (via Laxmiguda, Jalpally and Mamidipally to Srisailam highway), status on construction of ROB across the Railway on Main Spinal road from KPHB to Hightech City, construction of Bridge across Musi River near Bapu Ghat, Hussainsagar lake and catchment are improvement and cleaning project and radial roads work.
