Mumbai: Techno Minds, an inter-centre competition, organized by Aptech Computer Education - the flagship brand of Aptech Limited saw over 410 participants at the All India Institute of Local Self Government, Andheri West, Mumbai. The participants included students doing ACCP, Java, Oracle and .net course from aptech centre across west zone, i.e. Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Students in each centre were given course specific group projects. Out of the pool of projects made by these students, few were shortlisted for Techno Minds. The best five projects were declared winners in two categories, i.e. Web Application and Desktop Application.

This year’s competition witnessed an excellent response and surpassed all expectations with the spectacular exhibit by the group of students from Aptech centres across the west zone, i.e. Maharashtra and Gujarat. The projects on Cybernetics Protector from Aptech centre in Nashik, on Lavish Delicacies from Aptech centre in Andheri, Mumbai and on Online Voting System from Aptech centre in Bhilai were recognized as the winner, runner-up and jury award respectively in the Web Application category respectively. The team from Aptech centre in Andheri, who exhibited on Desktop & File Security, and the team from Aptech centre in Bapunagar, Ahmedabad, who exhibited on Jewellery Application, where recognized as the winner and runner-up in the Desktop Application Development category. The event also presented unique hands on project development assignments where the students developed innovative softwares for solving real life scenarios using applications like Dot Net and Java.

This year two more categories, i.e. Technical Paper presentation and Quiz Competition, have been introduced. The quiz competition was divided into five rounds, including a round on audio visual and rapid fire. The team from Aptech centre in King’s Circle, Mumbai and Thane bagged the first and second prize in quiz competition.

A prestigious jury panel of four members including Mr. Vishram Bapat, Director AIM Global Solution Pvt Ltd, Mr. Ali, Deputy VP, Aptech Limited, Mr. D. Venkat, Asst. Vice President, Academics, Aptech Ltd,Mr. Yatin Bhatia, DGM, Aptech Limited judged the competition, upholding the standard of excellence that Techno Minds represents

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ninad Karpe, MD & CEO, Aptech Ltd. said, “Techno Minds has evolved to encourage students to exhibit their technical skills in the IT space through project application. The zeal of the students and the teachers towards the competition was incredible.”
At the competition Mr. Venkat, Global Academic Head, said, “Techno Minds offers students an excellent opportunity to exhibit their technical abilities through project applications using technologies they have learnt at their esteemed centers. The projects follow the norms of real time project requirement, thus the students will be thoroughly exposed to project management skills which will enhance their job prospects on show casing their work and get reviewed by eminent jury members.”
