Report by Santanu Ganguly; New Delhi: Come 11th March and the TV serial Upanishad Ganga will air every Sunday at 10 am. In this series, a very strong character of Chanakya is being played by K.K. Raina. He has acted in various films like, ‘Tanu weds Manu’, ‘Delli 6’, ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Laskhya’, and ‘Salaam – e- ishk’ to name a few.

In the year 1991-1992, Door Darshan aired a TV serial ‘Chanakya’ that was very popular among its audience. Then, the role of ‘chanakya’ was played by ‘Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi’ who had also directed the same serial. And now, Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi is directing another TV serial, ‘Upanishad Ganga’ in which he is also directing K.K. Raina to play the role of Chanakya. We now have to see how well does Dr. Chandra Prakash direct K.K. Raina to essay Chanakya and whether K.K. Raina out does his director who played the same role almost 2 decades back!

It’s up to the audience now to decide who they like more, the Chanakya played by Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi or the Chanakya played by K.K. Raina who is being directed by Dr. Chandra Praskash!
