Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister met Gujarat Tourism brand ambassador Amitabh Bacchan in Ahmedabad today while he is here for shooting for the second phase of 'Khushbu Gujarat Ki', an advertisements campaign to promote tourism in the state.

CM Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to Amitabh Bacchan and thanked him for his selfless contribution in promoting Gujarat Tourism on the world map and felt the pride for acquiring a unique position. He stated that Gujarat has leapfrogged in Tourism sector at a very rapid rate due to Amitabh Bacchan.

Mr. Amitabh Bacchan was impressed with Gujarat Tourism and showed keen interest to know about the Kutch lifestyles, spiritual experience of White sands of Kutch, Banni region Buffalo breeds, Patan's Ranak Vav, Modhera's Surya Mandir, Gujarat's water management etc. Mr. Amitabh was also impressed with Gandhi Smarak at Mahatma Gandhi Mandir and 365 days exhibition on Gandhiji's life, and creating Panchamrut Bhavan at Sabarmati banks.

Chairman of Gujarat Tourism Corporation Shri Kamlesh Patel and Principal Secretary Shri Vipul Mitra were present at the meeting.
