Bhubaneswar to witness soulful musical presentation ‘Ruhaniyat’

runiyatBhubaneswar: ‘Ruhaniyat’, one of the oldest and the largest festival of its kind took off on its annual journey for 14th consecutive year in November 2014 in Mumbai and after covering Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Raipur, Kolkata, Ahemdabad & Pune; our Bhubaneswar; edition is all set to spread peace and harmony. Ruhaniyat in Bhubaneswar will be presented on February 13th, 2015 at the prestigious Hotel Kalinga Ashok at 6.30 pm.

What makes Ruhaniyat a soulful experience is the fact that the performers of this festival are true carriers of living tradition; simple, unheard of but immensely talented people that live the teachings through their dedication to their art.
As always, this year Ruhaniyat will feature soulful presentations, some never seen before that would leave the audience with a feeling of peace and joy. This year the festival will feature a unique Indo-African production featuring an African Mystic singer playing Kora, a 13th century instrument; along with desert musicians from Rajasthan. Apart from this, there will be artists from Assam, Punjab, Rajasthan and Delhi.
This year, Ruhaniyat in Bhubaneswar is supported by Tata Steel, SBI, NALCO & CNBC TV18.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mahesh Babu, Managing Director, Banyan Tree Events adds, “It has been an amazing mystic journey of Ruhaniyat, extremely demanding and deeply satisfying at the same time. In these 14 years we have received so much love, appreciation and enthusiasm from the audiences, performers and corporate partners! What is even more satisfying is the fact that the performers, most of them discoveries of Ruhaniyat, have now become well known faces and are being invited for various festivals not just in India but in other countries as well. Through the journey of 14 years, 10 cities each year the festival has touched the lives of over 2000 artists and ensured that the near-extinct art forms continue for some more time. We look forward to continuing the journey for many more years to come.”
Conceived by Mahesh Babu way back in the year 2001 in Mumbai; the 14 glorious years have indeed been very special for everyone – the artists, audiences and all the partners. And yet, there is so much to explore from Ruhaniyat… the journey is uncut!
